The Book

Hello, I am Cheryl

Almost 45 million people suffer with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and the numbers are increasing.
Living with IBS is frustrating, embarrassing, and even isolating. Most people don’t want to talk about it, much less seek professional help. I know. I have suffered with IBS my entire adult life. My persistent conviction that certain foods were causing my distress, my research of current medical literature, and my discovery of the MRT food sensitivity test, finally paid off. I feel so much better that some days I hardly even know I have IBS. I wanted to share my knowledge and experience with others who have suffered and were unable to find any beneficial treatments or compassionate providers within the medical community.

I am a Registered Nurse, who is also a chronic disease patient. Like my patients, many times I suffered in silence. Unfortunately, I found no long term relief even when I sought help from medical professionals, which was extremely distressing. I believed in the knowledge and expertise of the healthcare system, but no one provided any answers. Conventional medicine has very little to offer in terms of effective treatments.

Hopefully, writing about my personal struggle from the perspective of a nurse who is disillusioned with conventional healthcare, will encourage others to seek unconventional treatments.
